Korg TM-40 Digital Tuner Metronome The Korg TM-40 Digital Tuner Metronome combines two essential tools into a single unit. You can quickly tune your instrument using the digital tuner function or you can keep perfect time with the metronome. The tuner and metronome functions on the Korg TM-40 can be used separately or at the same time. The digital tuner can easily tune acoustic, electric and bass guitars in addition to most other instruments. If your guitar has a 1/4" mono cable or if you have a Korg CM-100L contact mic, you can plug it into the Korg TM-40 to facilitate tuning. If not, the TM-40 has an internal mic that allows you to tune without a cable. When the TM-40's tuner is turned on, LEDs show if you are sharp, flat or in tune and a large LCD makes it possible to fine tune each note. The tuner has a detection range of C1 (32.70 Hz) - C8 (4186.01 Hz) and a tuning accuracy better than +/- 1 cent. The Korg TM-40 tuner can be calibrated from 410 - 480 Hz in 1 Hz steps. A Sound Out mode on the Korg TM-40 can play 12 notes if you prefer to tune by ear. The Sound Out mode has a range of C4 (261.63 Hz) - C5 (523.25 Hz). The metronome function on the Korg TM-40 has features that include a swinging pendulum on the LCD, tempo selection and time signature selection. Tempo selection includes a range of 40 - 208 beats per minute. The time signatures available include duplets, triplets, triplets without the center beat, quadruplets and quadruplets without the center beat. The Korg TM-40 metronome has a +/- 0.3% tempo accuracy. Other features include a 1/8" mini headphone jack , 2 included AAA batteries and an Owner's Manual with instructions in English, French, German and Japanese. The Korg TM-40 can operate up to 70 hours in the tuner mode and up to 50 hours in the metronome mode on 2 AAA batteries. A relatively small size [4.45"(113mm) Length x 3.03"(77mm) Width x 0.71"(18mm) Height] allows the TM-40 to fit in small spaces.  |
