ENGINE.

4 litre Diesel after market ARB Turbo (new turbo fitted by ATS in Dandenong)

3" Mandrel Bent Exhaust
Duel Fuel Tanks. Main tank is 80 litre and a 70 litre 2nd Tank. Fuel is pumped from 2nd tank via a pump activated inside the car
I was told when I purchased the car he the engine had been freshened up or reconditioned  approx 7 years ago. My mechanic confirmed that the fuel pump has been reconditioned not so long ago
The engine has new glow plugs fitted only 500km ago. The plugs, turbo and a regulator for the alternator are the only things I have replaced engine wise on the car in 25000km
New Turbo fitted 12 months ago at a cost of $1200.00  Old turbo was still ok, I had a 3mm bigger spool turbo fitted it gave approx 40nm and 5kw gain in power
I have serviced the engine every 5000km as per recommendation. Last major service I changed all oils, gearbox diffs etc
The engine oil will be changed before the sale of the cruiser as will the engine coolant

This is a much loved car and im only selling as i now have a company car. The poor old cruiser doesn't deserve to be left parked for 2 weeks at a time only to be driven 30mins and parked again.
The car drives very well and has never let me down
Its a genuine sale of a what i feel is a bloody great cruiser

the bad points,

Very small amount of rust. Tiny bit in roof and door sill.
gearbox drops out of 5th gear. This is due to its previous owner towing in 5th gear. It only drops out when rolling down large hills. It hasnt bothered me. The rest of the box is quite and faultless.
Gearbox has tiny leak (maybe size of 10 cent piece daily after 45min drive and sitting overnight) When I got original roadworthy certificate the mechanic passed it as he mentioned they all leak!

 Just had RWC inspection carrieed out.

Wiper washer pump not working.
Front hubs have slight leak.
transfer case leak.

The  mechanic (who is not a friend) thinks its a great buy at the price and has been asking around to try and sell the car. Unfortuantly most of the people he knows are looking for a later model cruiser.

I mentioned the gearbox leak its actually the transer case leaking. he mentioned if you remove the skid pan and clean and clean around box it would pass a RWC.
Wasnt aware of front hubs. He said maybe due to sitting for long periods. He also mentioned that if you removed wheels and cleaned them it would pass a RWC.

So with a little cleaning i believe the car would pass a RWC.

The cruiser also has tinted windows and Airconditioning.
Aircon works ok but could probly do with regass.


Main interior light doesnt work. Globe tests ok.

I had the coolant changed and parked the car outside and noticed liquid dripping from the front. Luckily i parked the car outside as its normally parked on the grass and i wouldnt have noticed.
Unfortuantly the water pump is now leaking and requires changing.
I will lower the reserve to allow purchase of a new pump.
