Large and Stunning Gilt Brass Gothic Clock Set with Dragons.

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A large and stunning Gothic clock set with excellent original gilding. It is beautifully made and features a large, deeply dished dial mounted with large custom made enamel cartouche letters. To the sides are dragons and below these are stylised mythical sea creatures. Candelabra are conforming in style with 6 lights. The back door is glazed with frosted glass.

The French movement is by Vincenti it is of excellent quality and has been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. It strikes the hours and halves on a coiled gong and runs for 8 days. Pendulum is an old replacement and the blued steel hands are original. The video below show this actual clock running and striking!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. There is some very minor wear to the original gilding on the high spots and the candelabra are slightly distorted. Dial is also in excellent condition with just the occasional nibble to the cartouches.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
