This Genuine Old Persian Tribal Khamseh Pile Rug Displays Three Geometric Stepped Medallion on a Tan Brown Blue Ground Containing Angular Flowers on a Field Dotted With Geometric Murghi, Bird or Chicken, Motifs. This Motif is Traditional to the Khamseh Group and the Hand Spun Very Lustrous Wool Pile, Symmetrically Hand Knotted to Hand Spun Wool Warps and Wefts as well as the Fine Range of Indigo Blue Tones are Added Proof on an Origin Among a Semi-Nomadic Khamseh Tribal Group Living in the Shiraz Region of South East Iran in the 1960s.

This Genuine Old Persian Tribal Khamseh Pile Rug from the Shiraz Region of South East Iran is 2.15m x 1.57m (7ft 1 inch x 5ft 2 inches) and in Excellent Condition for its Age with Full Pile and Original Selvegdes Still Intact. It has been hand washed and is ready for use anywhere in the house. See Photos.

This is a Genuine Old Persian Tribal Khamseh Pile Rug from the Shiraz Region of South East Iran Created in the 1960s. BIDDERS CAN BE CONFIDENT IN OUR DESCRIPTIONS AND KNOWLEDGE OF ORIENTAL RUGS. I have been collecting and dealing in Antique Oriental Rugs for over 25 years, wrote a book which was published in Australia in 1991 by Kangaroo Press, entitled A Guide to Oriental Rugs, ISBN number is 0-86417-375-X, and this book can be found in many Australian libraries.
