Report itemThis is a LARGE quantity of quilting pieces I found in a miscellaneous box from an auction. The pieces on the left of the photo total about 150 and some are actually pinned together in quantities of eight (8), which I'm guessing were to be used to make one of the "squares" for the quilt. The completed "squares" have a circle sewn on them containing 8 of the pieces formed into a circle. There are thirteen (13) completed "squares" and two (2) of the circles sewn together with eight of the cut outs which are not yet completed on a square. The completed squares measure a little over a foot square, and the small pieces are about 4-1/2 inches across at their widest point and about 1-7/8 inches across at the bottom and are 4-1/2 inches long. It's pretty obvious by my "rambling" description that I'm not a quilter, so I hope this is understandable. I don't know what the material is made from (cotton, polyester????), but the colors and patterns look kind of 60's or 70's to me. Hope someone can use this material to finish a beautiful quilt. |
