LEAK STEREO 20 EL84 VALVE AMP, THE BEST VINTAGE AMP!

You are bidding on a Leak stereo 20 valve amp.

If you know much about valve amps then this amp will need no introduction, it is probably the best sounding vintage amp out there, it kills the quads, all radfords, apart from the st15 maybe, it is the best of all the affordable leaks, it will even show a clean pair of heels to most modern valve amps! Why? The secret is the output tubes and the exceptional  quality of the output iron.

This amp had had new power supply caps fitted, new kimber caps fitted also, it probably needs around 50 bucks of parts for it and around a couple of hours by a tech, or if you are handy yourself, then you would have one of the greatest sounding valve amps ever made, this was my own amp that I was doing up, but my plans have changed as I stumbled across a mint stereo 20 that had been completely rebuilt by warren Costello of the music room fame, his work is superb and it is one of the best amps I have had period! It will be staying with me forever, this is why this one is up for sale.

Condition is pretty good for it’s age, paint is a bit scatced here and there, but no dings and no dents, all in all my price reflects this, if you were after a mint one then this is not for you, but if you wanted a great chassis to do up[ and it is almost finished] then look no further, when finished, this thing will give sterling service day after day, year after year.
