Description This is Berek’s first design based on the double-gauss principle with 6 lens
elements. The advertisements in those days claimed superior performance
that could not be surpassed. Clean version of the Summar are rare. You
will also find many lenses with cracks in the cemented surfaces that soften
the contrast. Best performances at F/5.6 to F/8, with outer zones lagging
behind the centre.
