Lemon Balm is a perennial herb native to Southern Europe and the Mediterrian region.  It grows 60-140cm tall, with leaves that have a gentle lemon scent.  Lemon Balm is used to flavour desserts, salads, fruits and most commonly teas in which it is ofter paired with other herbs such as mints. 

Lemon Balm is also used medicinally as a herbal tea or as an extract.  It has antobacterial and antiviral properties.  It is also said to be a mild sedative. 

Lemon Balm is very popular in aromatherapy.

FOR BEST RESULTS: Sow seeds in spring into pots or modules using a soil-less seed compost.   Place under protection at 20°C.  Germination takes 1-5 weeks.
