LH TORANA V8 GM WANKEL VW SCIROCCO 120Y 520i CAPRI 74

On offer here is a rare and early issue of Modern Motor, an Australian Motoring magazine of the 70's, from April 1974. This issue is very interesting reading, with test drives of the new LH Torana 6 / V8 and the 4 cylinder TA series. ( 7 pages ) There is plenty of other features, but this will most suit the Holden collector ! It has 112 pages, plenty of pictures - quite a few in colour for this period. It is generally in good condition, no tears or sinificant damage. The centrepage is missing - I can't remember what was on it, but it doesn't seem to effect any of the articles. The cover is worn and some of the pages are a little dog eared. The last 7 pages got damp in the bottom corner and show some light stains. It has had the biro "doodling" done in the M of MOTOR that you can see in the scan - and a school classmate ( back in 74' ) kindly drew 2 small "x" 's on the nipples of a well endowed young model in the ad for Indian 5 slotter  ( $39.50 each !!!! ) mag wheels. Don't worry, they are very small !  So, all in all, though it's not a prime example, it would still be hard to find one as good as this - well deserving of a place in your collection !

Other features; local sports car under 2 grand, GM wankel out, Energy crisis ?, Mass transit, VW Scirocco ( 4pgs - 1 full page col pic ), New datsun 120y and corona ( 6 pgs - good pic's, some colour ), Touring Tasmania in Hi Ace camper, Ghia Capri ( 4 pgs, 1 full pg col pic and other smaller b+w )  and BMW 520i  ( 4 pgs, B+W pic's ) road reports. Too much to mention it all here. All the usual columns etc.
