LINEN dresser scarf ANTIQUE embroidery cs BABY DUCKS

LINEN DRESSER SCARF.

TYPE- antique or vintage dresser scarf. 

SIZE- about 38" long by 10" wide. This is hemmed with a narrow machine stitched hem. 

CONDITION- NEW, unused and looks pre-washed, or maybe it is just antique, and is a softer linen. No spots or holes. There is the original blue embroidery stamping, that should wash out. No odors. There are some light stains that are from long-time storage. They are light colored & would probably wash out, with treatment. They are not noticeable. Usually these stains come out with BIZ, or a good soaking. This was embroidered many years ago, & then put away in a sewing basket, for many years.  

DETAILS-  darling BABY DUCK OR CHICK designs, on a stamped linen fabric. There are 3 CHICKS at each end, with BLUE embroidered BORDERS, plus small BLUE cross stitch designs along the sides of the scarf.  I think this is very old, & do I know it is from VOGART.

**** The printing on the bottom edge said- DRESSER SCARF S-53, VOGART FOR VALUE. ASK FOR FREE INSTRUCTIONS BOOK. MADE IN USA, (before I hemmed it).  Then, I finished the scarf myself, by machine stitching double hems, with matching thread. The cut edges were beginning to fray, so I made double 1/8" hems, all around the scarf. The printing was folded inside the hems. Cute for your dresser, or table top. 

FABRIC- looks like antique LINEN.   ALL MY ITEMS COME FROM A PET-FREE AND NON SMOKING HOME.  

USE - Perfect for any room, baby, or for the top of  your furniture. You could use this for a gift, too.  

AGE-  this is VERY vintage, or antique. I do not know the age, but I am 68 years old and this was probably made before I was born. It is really old! Perfect for a cottage shabby chic look.  Please check out the other vintage fabrics and linens that I am also selling in my ebay store.
