This is a hard to find book and a great opportunity to pick up a copy at a very cheap price.

Here is a book filled with what hard-core boat nuts call "really neat boats."   Here are plans, philosophy, and building instructions for a wide array of boats and construction techniques: flyweight tack-and-tape flatwater kayaks; a foam/fibreglass wheelbarrow garvey; a half scale fibreglass replica of a classic 1920s Elco power cruiser; a long and lean Chesapeake-style power launch; a plywood trimaran with several transatlantic voyages to its credit - 24 boats in all.  These diverse designs are united by the common themes of simplicity of line, ease of construction, and parting the water with a minimum of fuss.  The author is a professional boatbuilder, designer, and writer with an artist's eye and a novelist's voice.  And he designs really neat boats.

This 242 page softcover is illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and drawings.  This book is ex-library and as such has all the usual stamps and stickers.  There is a contact covering to outside, which has some heavy creases, wear and marks.  Internally the page edges are quite grubby, there are some grubby finger marks to a few pages and there are pencil measurement notations on one page.  Not the prettiest looking book, but this is a great opportunity to pick up a cheap copy of this hard to find book.
