Does your land rover 4cyl engine hunt at idle? If you grab your carby throttle shaft at the linkage & move it up then down does the idle go up then down? This is your only solution. These are brand new Zenith carburettors as fitted to all the land rover serie 3 , 2.25 4 cyl motors. We have procured some from the uk as we have had quite a few enquiries about getting a supply in Aussie. These come with a mounting gasket & just bolt straight on. The problem mentioned in the first line is a common fault due to the mechanical linkage wearing on the throttle shaft-it ovals the carby-shaft housing . If you can we recommend fitting a cable throttle control to stop this from happening-usually done when a holden motor is fitted-sorry we dont have any of these-you will have to grab & fit it. Part number of this new carby is ERC2886 & post quote is Aussie wide-Registered.We have these in our shop also at buy now if you dont want to be in a bidding war-go to the land rover series 1-3 section. We also will combine post for multiple purchases. If your carby is still good we also have listed gasket kits to suit.
