Large WATER FEATURE FOUNTAIN Sandstone Concrete + pumps

Fabulous Waterfeature

This fantastic fountain is preowned and preused, and is sitting on our back patio waiting for a new owner.  (not where it is in these pictures...sorry about the lights!) It just doesn't fit with our current design, but was a very expensive item, so can't just throw it away!

It comprises of two parts, a pedestal and the main fountain. Both parts are EXTREMELY heavy and will require a couple of men, a trolley or some means of carrying it.  ONe person cannot move it.  

 

The pedestal is flat bottomed and topped of course, and the pond fits on top.  You could concrete or glue it for extra strength. We didn't.   On top a beautifully shell shape fronted  pond is the vessel for the water which comes out of the Lion's Head and pours down into the shell the cherubs hold, and then into the pond.  It's not too noisy which is great.  It made a lovely bird bath for our native birds....they used it a lot.  This fountain is made to sit against a wall.  It would look really special with the right sort of wall, and an attractive type of greenery around it.  We just didn't have the right sort of place.

It would look terrific in a courtyard, Italianate garden or terrace.

Made of formed concrete, it is very good quality, reinforced and strong.  It has no leaks or cracks.  It is a light sandstone colour with weathering marks, which make it look rustic and will instantly fit into your garden, without standing out like a 'brand new' item.  As mentioned at the moment it has been sitting on the patio, with rainwater in it.  You may feel you want to clean the 'tide mark' - easy with just a scrubbing brush.  It has some mild marks from age, but no chips or breaks or cracks.  One spot on the side looks like glue, but was there when we bought it, must from manufacture.  Barely noticeable.

 

The pedestal measures 52cm high, 50cm wide at the base, and 42cm deep at the base. 

On top fits the fountain with it's 'pond' and cherubs and lion head 'spout'.  It measures 114cm high, 118cm wide and 58cm deep. (front to back I mean).  The pond itself is 26cm high/deep, so you can have about 15cm of water in it.

It comes with the pump that we used when it was fitted in our yard.  It is in excellent working condition, easy to install for an electrician or handyman, but doesn not come with instructions.

This item is PICKUP ONLY.  NO postage or delivery.  PLEASE NOTE: This item is Extremely heavy, and I'm not exaggerating when I say you will need about 2-3 strong men and some means of hauling it.   Fortunately, it sits on the patio right at the end of our driveway so you can back right down to it.   Pickup from WHEELER HEIGHTS which is on Sydney's Northern Beaches, near Dee Why and Collaroy Plateau.  Pickup must be within 10 days of purchase, buyer must contact seller to arrange a convenient time for us both, and cash payment required on pickup.

POSTAGE: We attempt to charge only Australia Post postal rates + cost of packaging to give the buyer the cheapest postage possible. We occasionally use Australia Post Prepaid Satchells when that option proves the cheapest or most convenient. We post 2 x a week. We will attempt to always post within 7 days of receiving your payment and will notify you when item is posted. Packaging is paramount to us. No responsibility will be taken for Australia Post delivery times, or damage or loss by Australia Post. If you are concerned, please request & pay for Registered Post option to ensure trackability. International buyers should always email for a quote as postage quoted is for Australian buyers only. We love to combine postage so that you get the cheapest deal possible. Ask Us!

PICKUP: Where offered, at a prearranged time convenient to seller. Do NOT bid on pickup items if you cannot pickup within 10 days of end of auction/sale. We will NOT post them. Items not picked up within a month of their purhcase may be relisted.

FEEDBACK: We love to leave positive feedback and will do so after the buyer has left us positive feedback so that we know the transaction is finalised, there are no issues, and the item was received in good order. Before leaving star ratings, please consider that we have no control over Aus Post prices or delivery time. Always contact us if you have any issues BEFORE leaving neutral or negative feedback as we pride ourselves in customer service and try to sort things out to your satisfaction.  We WILL LEAVE UNPAID ITEM STRIKES against buyers who do not pay for their items.  BE AWARE that neutral feedback is now counted as a negative by eBay.  We hate neutral and negative feedback.  It doesn't get anyone anywhere.

REFUNDS: All attempts will be made to remunerate the buyer or replace items in the unlikely event that the seller has a problem which prevents completion of the transaction. We will refund item and postage in FULL if we agree we have misrepresented an item, but not if you have misunderstood the item or not read the description and looked at provided photos carefully.  Always contact us if you have an issue, as we allways try to sort things out to your satisfaction.
