Larkspur Imperial Choice Mix
Consolida ajacis syn Delphinium consolida
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List
These annual Larkspur were once considered members of the Delphiniums but botanists believe they are a genus on their own. Consequently, they chose the Middle Ages name for the plant when it was believed to have medicinal properties in the healing of wounds i.e. Consolida.
They are not difficult to grow in temperate or even cool, sub-tropical climates. They are upright plants with fine, feathery foliage and grow 3 to 4 feet tall; the taller plants may need staking. Zones 7 to 11.
Mix colours include light blue, dark blue, carmine, lilac, pink, rose, salmon and white. Flowers are invariably double in the genus Consolida and flowering occurs in spring and summer on a wealth of tall flower spikes.
The flower spikes make an excellent addition to cut flower or dried flower arrangements.
Offered is a packet of 100 seeds and grow notes to assist you to enjoy this beautiful display.
