Text below print as follows - 'TWO WHITEHEADS have lately been tried in the Yorkshire Eleven, the one LUTHER the other LEES. It has been the latter's misfortune rather than his fault that he has not been able to secure a permanent place in the Yorkshire Eleven. Thew all-round strength of the side during the last two or three years is the only explanation of his absence. This year he has been tried on more than one occasion and with fair success. Always a useful fast bowler, he has improved considerably as a batsman of late, and is now decidedly above the average as an all-round Cricketer. So the authorities at Lord's have found him, although it must be admitted his engagement on the Ground Staff of the Marylebone Club has done much to improve his play.'
