| Legend of Aleister Crowley P.R. Stephensen Rare Occult Qtr Leather 2nd Edition Revised & Enlarged Very Rare HC The Legend Of Aleister Crowley by P.R. Stephensen with an introduction by Israel Regardie Llewellyn, 1970, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Hardcover. Quarter Leather Binding. Good+ condition. This is a very rare hardcover edition of The Legend of Aleister Crowley by P.R. Stephensen. It has quarter leather binding, and grey-black cloth over the boards. There is some gilt titling to the spine, which has mostly been rubbed away, but you can still see most of "Aleister Crowley" in the title. Good+ condition, with only some light shelf wear, mainly to the edges of the pages, & some very light toning. The binding is tight, but there is a crack to the spine, between the portrait of Crowley, and the title page. It is however, holding together quite well. The first few pages also are affected by a small indentation, which is about 1 cm wide, and 2 mm thick, but pages have not been pierced, and it is a minor flaw. Otherwise, this copy is quite good in condition, with pages being quite bright, with just a hint of toning. Contains contemporary news reports, reviews, etc. of Crowley. You almost never see a hardcover edition of this title, so this is very rare, and would make a fine addition to any Thelemic library.
