Lego Mindstorms – Robotic Inventions System II

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lego with a Brain! Build robots and control how they move. Lego Mindstorms Robotic Invention systems come with a Robotics Command System brick that has 3 sensor inputs, 4 outputs, 4 control buttons, an LCD display and an infrared transmitter. It also has a microprocessor to process programs, internal memory to store firmware and programs, and a built in speaker to produce beeps and tones. The kit also has two motor blocks that can be controlled by the Command System brick to make your robots move.

The set appears to be mostly complete – a quick count of parts showed there were more parts than listed in the manual. Total weight of the Lego parts without the infrared block and cables is about 1 Kg.

The Robotic Inventions Constructapedia and CD are included.

On 12-Nov-09 at 13:08:48 AEDST, seller added the following information:

I was asked the question 'Are all the pieces there to make all the models in the book.' The quick answer is NO - but!

I started an audit of the pieces but stopped when I found that there were many more of some pieces than identified in 'Parts ID' of the booklet. However on closer inspection in response to the question it appears that some pieces in the Parts ID are not present in the kit. The major parts seem to be present but one of the touch sensors and various bricks are missing.

HOWEVER there are also additional bits. I have added pictures of two Lego bricks which are not in the booklet. The large brick holds batteries and lights flash and it beeps when it is turned on. It has a sensor (? touch) of some sort on one end and has two motors built into it. The second part is an infra red controller which has 3 internal AAA batteries. The controller brick can remotely drive the motors in the larger brick and make it beep. Each motor can be made to turn either forwards or backwards.

I don't know which Lego kits these additional clever bricks came from but they are probably more useful than the few bricks that are missing.

Please Note: The Lego Mindstorms kit is incomplete but has extra parts from other Lego kits. This lot will therefore be sold 'As Is'.
