Train Repair Parts:
The majority of the items that we offer are repair parts and as such current grading standards do not apply to them. Our description will be as accurate as reasonably possible using such terms as NOS (New Old Stock), Like New, Used and the like.

Engines-Cars-Accessories:
With regard to complete engines, cars and accessories, we use a modified version of the TCA grading standard. We say "modified" as we disagree with their definition of mint and like new. Please read the grading CAREFULLY. We will only authorize returns in those instances where there is a substantial difference between the grading in the description and the actual engine, car or accessory. • We ship all items within 3 business days of receipt of your payment. Our shipments are picked up at approximately 7:30AM. The period of 3 business days begins the day following the date of notification by Paypal or the physical receipt of your payment. Business days do not include Saturday's, Sundays or holidays. As an example, if you win an auction or make a purchase on Sunday and pay for it 10AM Monday, the 3 business day period begins Tuesday morning. Delivery time for USPS Priority Mail averages 2 to 3 days to most areas of the lower United States, but this is not guaranteed!
The invoice that is sent to you will provide you with an approximate delivery date.


• We automatically combine auctions ending within 48 hours of each other. We will extend this upon request.



• In those cases where your order consists of a mix of heavy and fragile items, we will either double pack the order OR ship the heavy and fragile items separately at an additional charge.



• All orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail unless they are light enough to go USPS 1st Class Mail, or so bulky or heavy that they must ship via UPS or FedEx Ground. We will do our best to accommodate you. Items paid via Paypal must be ship to the bidders verified eBay address!



• We do not charge a handling fee. We charge only our actual shipping costs which include the box or padded envelope, packing, labeling, insurance, delivery confirmation and postage or shipper brokers fee for shipments outside of the USA. See the insurance section below or our eBay About Me page for upcoming changes.



• If you must mail your payment, please include a copy of your invoice with your payment and make sure that it has your name and address on it! Your shipping address must be verifiable with the United States Postal Service.

• More eBay Changes Effective September 22, 2009: Currently insurance is optional for amounts less than $50 and mandatory for shipments $50 or more. Items paid for via Paypal must have delivery confirmation and insurance.



• On or about September 22, 2009 eBay will be removing all reference to insurance from all auction pages and all eBay stores. You can read more about these changes here and here. (Clicking a link will open a new browser window so that you can review the information and not lose your place).



• What this means to you: For shipments valued at $50 and below, you will not have the opportunity to select whether or not you want insurance coverage. As noted in a comment from an eBay representative, sellers will now need to do one of two things, either "fold the cost of insurance into the costs of shipping and handling" or absorb these costs. Effective with the date of this change, and given that we do not inflate our shipping charges to allow for losses, we will be folding the cost of insurance into all of our auctions. It is our position that this change on the part of eBay will make it extremely difficult for sellers of smaller toy train repair parts to offer those parts at minimal prices.
  We will do everything we can to hold the line on shipping costs, even with these insurance insurance changes!


• As of September 22, 2009 all shipments will be insured regardless of size. In order to lessen the impact of folding the insurance coverage into our shipping charges we have procured our own insurance coverage through our vendor. Some items formerly shipped priority mail may now ship 1st Class Mail in order to reduce the cost to you.



• If you have a claim: Should a damage or loss claim occur, regardless of size, we have procedures in place to handle them. For additional details regarding claims handling please see our eBay About Me  pages.

• If there is a problem, regardless of type, write to us and we will make every attempt to resolve it with you. We make every effort to ensure your satisfaction.



• The postal service is not perfect, especially where we are located.



• You are bidding on the item as shown, or in the case of a stock picture, an item of equal or better condition. You are not bidding on what you think the item should be or what you would like it to be.



• We report problems where unscrupulous bidders threaten negative feedback to coerce our staff.  Leaving negative feedback without attempting to resolve an issue will result in your receiving a complaint through eBay.

• If you live in New Jersey, expect to pay sales tax. If sales tax is not paid your item will not be shipped to you.



• If you are a New Jersey registered business; have a NJ Sales Tax ID number and provide us with a New Jersey ST-3 Sales Tax Certificate made out to us, we will waive the sale tax.

• Place a bid only if you're serious about buying the item. If you are the successful winning bidder, you have entered into a legally binding contract to purchase the property that you have bid on.
