I test and charge all batteries before shipment. This prevents any Dead on Arrival items so you can be sure you get a working item. The Logitech cradle doesn't work well to charge your remote battery. I know this because I own a Harmony 880. I love the remote but the charger isn't very good so be sure it is your battery that is the problem and not the charger. See my other auctions for replacement chargers and batteries. Make it convenient to charge by using one battery and let the other one charge
