This is the most popular model of Lortone Rock Tumbler - a basic single barrel, rotary tumbler with a barrel capacity of 3 pounds (~1.3 kilograms). These tumblers feature a moulded rubber barrel to provide extra sound absorption and excellent results. The barrel has the Lortone system of a rubber lid which fits tightly underneath a screw down cap to prevent leakage while tumbling. Instruction book is included plus the Lortone Guide to Rock Tumbling.
This model has a 220 Volt electric motor and 3 pin plug to suit Australian power supply. Barrel can hold up to 1.3.kg of rock or jewellery. The tumbler is brand new in the box, direct from Lortone in the USA.

This is a high quality machine from one of the best manufactureres of lapidary equipment. The 3A tumbler is the perfect choice for those wanting to try rock tumbling or is great for jewellery makers who wish to polish small runs of jewellery. Please note that the toy rock tumblers available on Ebay or other suppliers for less than $100 do not have the build quality of the Lortone tumblers - these cheaper tumblers will not last the distance (sometimes dont survive one batch of rocks) due to the light plastic construction and insufficient drive motors. Buy Lortone and you will have years of trouble-free service.
