This is a beautiful little lidded dish/pot by Burleigh Ware . Made in England.
It is from their " WILLOW " Series.
This dish shows the classic blue willow oriental inspired scene in a deep blue set on a white background complimented beautifully by a gilded edge around the rim of the lid.
This piece is a lovely shape. The base has a diameter of 8cm and stands at 4.5cm high. The lid has a diameter of 9cm. With the lid on, it stands at 6cm high.
The dish and lid, including the gilding, is in very good condition and doesn't appear to have been used. There are no chips, cracks or crazing and it has a wonderful lustre.
This is a lovely example of Burleigh Ware in one of their classic and traditional patterns that displays beautifully and would enhance any fine collection!
