Australian rapper MACROMANTICS will have arms and eyebrows raised with the release of her debut album, Moments in Movement. Macromantics is Romy Hoffman, a Melbourne based artist who began her music career in the mid 90's as a 15 year-old guitarist for Ben Lee's first band, Noise Addict. She first discovered Hip Hop on a US tour with the band, returned to Australia, picked up a microphone and started rapping. Produced largely by in-demand Sydney based maestro Buchman, Moments in Movement is as much an album for fans of pop culture as it is for the Hip Hop kids. You can count at least three Death Metal references on there - even Melanie Griffith gets a shout out!!! The album also features guest appearances from US rapper Sage Francis and hot Melbourne act Ground Components. MACROMANTICS is absolutely on the way up!
