Postage & Handling
Yes, I do charge a small handling fee ($1.50), this HELPS me cover the costs of packing materials (bag ~ which costs $1.10, wrap etc) and helps cover some of the Paypal fees charged on shipping. If I am using a satchel to post your magazine, I always put it in a tough bag as well (to prevent damage). This cost is already added to postage costs quoted by ebay below. If you don't think this is fair, please, don't bid.
POSTAGE costs should be available in next tab ...:)
Delivery Times
Within Australia; out of state (I'm in WA) delivery usually takes a week to a city, slightly longer for country areas. This is because parcels go by ROAD from WA. Please be patient! If your item is lucky/small enough to be considered a letter you'll get it in around 3 days. Express should arrive within 3 days.
Overseas; Depends on where you are! AIRMAIL Postage to USA seems to take 2 weeks, sometimes longer for country areas. While for people in the UK and surrounding areas mail seems to be delivered in around a week. For SEA mail expect a 2 to 3 month wait...more often than not, it's at the 3 month end!
Please understand POSTAGE costs are out of my hands! Quite often postage is ridiculously high, even within Oz, I know it...but I'm afraid it's simply out of my hands! Trust me that it frustrated me more than it frustrates you!! IF I overcharge you in postage I do send refunds (this happens about twice a week, my scales just aren't as good as the Post Office ones)!
Background
Ebay is a hobby for me, not a job. I really don't know if I buy or sell more! If selling on ebay was my job I would earn between $1 - $2 per hour (seems crazy doesn't it)! Listing, wrapping, communicating, and posting are all very time-consuming (I'm not complaining). I guess I'm just asking people to keep this in mind before you bid or send for scans/postage discounts/etc. You are buying an item, but the 'service' does need to be considered!
Also, keep in mind that I work full-time and spend around 10hrs/week in travel time to get to and from my job. So I ebay at night and rush to the Post Office after work! I do my best to post items the DAY AFTER I've received payment. I aim to email buyers THE DAY I post their item and I aim to LEAVE FEEDBACK on the same day (no ransom feedbacker here, NO 'I've leave feedbackfor you only once you've left it for me'!!!)
