For auction is this magnificent late 1930's oak bureau in the 17th. Century Jacobean revival style popular in the late Art Deco period. It measures about 99 cm in height by 75 cm wide by 46 cm deep. All the original locks are still in place with key. The writing surface appears to be original with a number of marks, stains and scuffs expected in a piece of this period. Superbly crafted throughout with the supports for the writing leaf automatically extending when the leaf is opened and retracting when the leaf is closed.  The drawers are also in excellent condition with the maker's original pencil numbering on the rear. Please inspect the photographs closely as this is an absolutely lovely piece which would retail at well over $1000. Personal inspection is welcome. Interstate or long distance buyers should check with Aladdins Transport or a similar firm for a quote to deliver. Preferred method of payment is cash on pick up.
