MAORI WAR CANOE:

This spectacular wooden carving would be at home in a glass showcase in a museum, a display case in the company or export offices board room or part of a private collection.

The carving has the traditional bow and stern placements, all shell pieces are on the various parts of the hull, bow and stern, has seats, straw floor matting and is complimented with a timber stand..

The measurements are maximum length 79cm X width 6cm with a maximum height of 31cm..When looking at the canoe it looks in perfect condition however with the stern and bow pieces remove there is a small chip on both ends..

Not sure when carved but it was brought from New Zealand 30 + years ago..
