Maths in Focus: Preliminary Revised Book 1 is covers the Year 11 Preliminary Standard course. The Standard course is designed to give you some knowledge of the main areas of mathematics, which you will then be able to apply to further study in fields as diverse as science, business, economics and engineering.

Chapters 1, 2,and 3 are largely for revision purposes, and may be used as needed. The succeeding chapters are arranged in a logical sequence, with calculus introduced as early as possible. Calculator work is interwoven with the text wherever needed, rather than in a separate section. There are ' Test yourself' and Challenge' exercises at the end of each chapter and sets of revision exercises for extra practice.

This book gives you some ideas about putting your knowledge to good use and is currently on the NSW curriculum.
