for 4 ply yarn use 2.75mm 3.25mm needles (UK 12/10) (USA 2/3)

for 8 ply yarn use 3mm 3.75mm neeedles (UK 11/9) (USA 2/5)

to fit chest 35cm 40cm 46cm (14in 16in 18in)

the pattern has instructions to knit matinee coats - crew neck, v  neck and coat with collar in 4 ply or 8 ply yarn.. pretty handknits 

one section of one size of the pattern has been highlighted, this does not interfere with the instructions
