In the 1930's a young Maurice Shiel, whose age had not yet reached double figures, shyly sTepped up to receive a trophy. He had broKen all NSW school records in the hop-step and jump, an achievement since equalled but never bettered. But what happened between the thirties and the nineties. Sixty years is a huge chunk of anyone's lifetime. Were the years filled with fun, with love, and a young man's dreams being fulfilled? Or were they years of striving for meagre happiness? Was it as dizzy, delectable ride? Let's see. It is time to expose the man known to many generations as Maurie Fields - entertainer.
