Color Medal of Honor portrait cachet # 1865 Alvin Eckert USCS #9964. Sergeant Alfredo Ganzalez, USMC was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroism in Vietnam. On 4 February 1968 he was killed in action near Thua Thien. A US Navy Destroyer USS Gonzalez DDG-66 is named in his honor. Cover franked with 20 cent "Hispanic Americans A Proud Heritage" memorial stamp.and the 23 cent stamp. Check out my other items!
