Fantastic vintage 80s hand-made brooch! To me it appears as if someone has used plastic to make the bases for each of the shapes and built up something like Fimo (a polymer clay) over the top, and then handpainted it.

The brooch is made up of several rectangles and triangles overlapping each other. One piece has been painted to look like snake skin, and others have been painted black, silver, metallic blue and metallic pink. Soooo 80s! A brooch pin sits at the back in goldtone metal.

It's in good vintage condition, with no major flaws, just some scratches which may have been there from the beginning, and some painting that went out of the lines! Either way the effect is of pure 80s style art!
