Learn German with the revolutionary Michel Thomas Method

I stole this from his web page:

"Michel Tomas is a world famous master linguist and head of the Michael Thomas Language Centers (and he seems to love his own name - sorry, that did not come from his web page ...). Michel's revolutionary and unconventional method of teaching produces remarkable results in a very short time. With no memorisation and no homework, even those previously intimidated at the prospect of learning a new language find success through this program." Etc etc.

On the cover of the cassette set it says: No books, no writing just confidence in hours. No pens, no paper, no homework, no memorising.

Well, and if you believe all that, I hate to tell you, I think you are probably not smart enough to learn a language. But, if you want to or need to learn German and you are pressed for time, this will get you an ok start. Pop them into your car (still have a cassette player by the way?) and listen to Michel do his "Michel Thomas" stuff.

It is 8 hours worth of program and I must say, its pretty good. Not as brilliant as he probably thinks, but then again, German is kinda tough and learning it is too. What surprise.

Hope I have not talked you out of it.
