Spinning, dyeing, carding, weaving and knitting are skills that women and men learn from an early age in Quechua communities in the Andes of Peru.
These cute and colourful finger puppets are handknitted by communities of Quechua women in Puno, Peru (*). These women are very skillfull knitters and each one is specialised in several handknitted animals. And together they produce a vast array of animals and other characters that have gone surpassed the frontiers of Peru.
These finger puppets are made of acrylic yarn and filled with cotton. They are very easy to care of, just wash them with mild detergent, squeeze and dry flat. They have been already been washed.
Customers are always amazed at the details in each finger puppet. Children can learn a lot though finger puppets or just have fun with them and adults can also have a lot of fun teaching children many facts about the animal world or enhance a story telling.
(*) Puno is a department and the capital is called Puno too. The city of Puno is located on the shore of Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake, at 3,860 m (12,421 ft) above sea level. The city is situated in the available land between the shores of Lake Titicaca and the mountains surrounding the city.

Every child will love these cute Handknitted Finger Puppets

Lots of theme sets to choose from!!!

Farm animals, Climbers, Small animals, Big animals, Amazon animals,
African animals, Jungle animals, Forest creatures, Andean characters, Aquatic animals, Birds, Mammals, Bugs, Pets, Madagascar, Fairytales, People, Professions, and more.
Teach your child interesting facts about these animals.
Ask your child which animal is BIGGER, which one is NOISER, which one is the FASTEST, which one eats meat, which one is a CLIMBER, which one can see better at night, which one is a predator, which one is a prey?, which one spends a lot of time in the water?, etc, etc, etc.
A common error people make is calling the LION, TIGER, GIRAFFE, ELEPHANT and ZEBRA "Jungle animals"
they do not live in the jungle but in the African savannah which is a very different habitat.
Do you know what's the difference between a monkey and an ape?
Monkeys have tails and apes do not. Easy!
Grab a book about animals and teach your child many more interesting facts about these animals.
Your child could not wait until your next time together for more animal facts and more fun!!!
