How do I know I am getting a quality garment?
There are a number of aspects that make top quality motorcycle clothing. Unfortunately with mass production and the corporate dollar at stake, the traditional and safest manufacturing methods are being lost. At Collins Leathers we all ride bikes, so we understand what today’s motorcyclists want.
All our garments are designed in house and produced under the strictest quality control. The two most important factors in production are:
1. The materials used 2. The construction method
We only use top quality materials such as A-grade hide, YKK metal zippers, Schoeller Kevlar, 3M and Dupont. All body armour protection is CE certified. All impact areas in Collins' leather and textile garments are double and sometimes triple layered.
The construction of our garments is complex, all seams are double and triple stitched, using Collins Safety Seams. Many brands claim to be double stitched, but take a closer look, you will find that in many cases the seams are single stitched, or double stitched on the out side only. These seams will burst open on impact, causing serious injury.
What about warranty?
Collins Leathers is the only company to give a 5 Year Warranty as standard on leather garments and a 1 Year Warranty on gloves and textiles. Let's face it, only a company that has proven itself can confidently give a warranty like this.
