This motorhome has everything!
First of all, the vehicle:
Based on a 1993 Holden Rodeo chassis, with a 2600cc petrol [unleaded fuel] motor.
The vehicle has done 356,00km but a new motor has been fitted which has only done 80,000km.
Fuel tank capacity is 53litres.
We have found that fuel consumption varies between 8km/litre [on the highway] and 6.5km/litre [around town].
It is a 4 speed automatic and starts first time, every time.
It has air conditioning fitted. And a towbar, of course!
The motor was serviced in Sept. 2009 [receipt provided].
The vehicle can be converted to run on lpg if you wish - there is room underneath for an lpg tank.
It has been fitted with a new heavy-duty battery recently and also a new windscreen.
It is fittted with light truck tyres which are in good condition.
There is a bull bar with 2 driving lights fitted [note: the bull bar has been removed & so is not seen in some of the photos - it can easily be refitted].
There is a wrap-around sun shield which goes inside all the front windows to keep out the hot sun. This also keeps the living area from prying eyes.
Registered in NSW until September 2010.
There is walk through access from the cab to the motorhome - great if you have to stop in pouring rain and want to get something from the back!
There is an electronic corrosion protector mounted under the bonnet - this protects the whole body & chassis from corrosion.
Note: the jerrycan carrier at the back of the vehicle has been removed permanently.
Now for the living quarters:
The bedroom has a full size double bed with an innerspring mattress.
There is a TV antenna outlet over the bed and a bracket, ready for your LCD TV to be mounted.
The TV antenna is permanently mounted on the roof, and is a multi-directional type.
A vent above the bed and windows at both ends help keep you cool on hot nights.
The bathroom has a shower, with hot & cold taps and a porta-potti. Also a vent with 12v fan fitted to take away the steam from the shower.
A 12v light in the shower allows night-time showers.
The kitchen has a 2 burner gas stove, 240v microwave oven and a tap over the sink which is pressurised by a 12v pump.
A 4.5kg gas bottle is fitted on the outside.
There are plenty of 240v power outlets. Two good size water tanks mean you don't run out of water easily.
Of course, there is a 3-way fridge in good condition.
The loungeroom/dining area is brightly lit with large windows on 3 sides. There is good storage under all the seats.
A folding table can be used when necessary.
Under one seat there are 2 deep cycle batteries which keep the fridge, pump, lights and fan going.
While you're able to access 240v, a battery charger keeps the 12v batteries charged, and when you're not on 240v, the large solar panel on the roof keeps the batteries topped up. A charge controller [see photo] keeps an eye on everything, preventing the batteries from being discharged & keeping you updated on the battery voltage, how much charge is going in and how much power you've used for each of the past 3 days.
For those extra hot days there is a 240v air conditioner for the living area.
A 'Four seasons' vent in the roof means there is great ventilation.
There is 12v interior lighting throughout and even a 12v fan in the lounge area.
There are mountings for 2 extra seat belts in the back - the auto. engineer has instructed me what small modifications need to be made for these to be approved for use.
On the safety side, we have: an lpg gas detector, a smoke alarm, a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher.
There is a recent electrical warrant certificate, a gas compliance plate and an engineer's certificate.
Now for the outside:
There is a roll out 'Dometic' brand awning which is very easy to use [see photo of one section of it].
And the custom built trailer! [included in the price]
The trailer is internally divided so your extra luggage doesn't slide around everywhere.
It is currently fitted with a boat rack [the boat is NOT included], but we still have the bike rack which we removed - included in the price [and the 2 bikes are yours as well].
Also, 3 x 20litre plastic jerry cans for extra water if you're travelling outback.
We've had great holidays in this van and are sorry to be selling it through changed circumstances.
Please email for extra details as you need them, or to arrange a test drive.
