207 CROSSROADS OF THE SOUL
Brennan calls Jesse and Shalimar from his new car, but, sensing a storm brewing, he promises to call them back. His car breaks down, and he pops the hood, but is distracted by bolts of lightning that are hitting a nearby field. Suddenly, a huge truck smashes into his car. As Brennan is thrown into the field by the blast, lightning hits him and he disappears. Worried about Brennan, the team sets out to search for him.

Jesse's close friend, Amanda Terry, is accosted by three intruders. After a brief scuffle, Amanda falls unconscious. Jesse begins to worry about Amanda after he calls her, but gets no answer. Meanwhile, Adam meets with a government official who asks Adam to use his mutant database to help identify the bodies of three murdered mutants. Looking at photos of the victims, Adam realises that one is Amanda, and Jesse vows to find the killers.
