The guitar is close to the original guitars. The originals, for instance, had Adirondack spruce tops as well. The rosette features colorful abalone pearl, flanked by wood fiber inlays. The top, sides and back perimeters also feature abalone pearl inlay and wood fiber inlays. Style 45 mosaic backstrip and genuine ebony pyramid bridge and the absence of a pickguard.

The tuners are Waverly Irving Sloane side-mounted tuners with open gears.

This guitar features snowflake position markers inlaid in abalone with Stephen Stills'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' signature in mother of pearl between the 17th fret and the end of the fingerboard. Factory installed electronics are available as an option. Each also has an interior label signed by Stills.

Like the other Stephen Stills models the 0-45S Stephen Stills Signature Edition is limited to 91.
