THE 3 POLES ON THE RIGHT ARE PLASTICVILLE
The Marx Telephone Pole was first introduced in 1950 and was sold initially to dealers in boxes of one dozen.
The telephone poles produced by Marx were adaptable to most of the Lionel and American Flyer "O" & "027" scale train layouts popular at that time. They were also compatible with the Plasticville buildings, if just a bit larger.
Telephone Poles that were made by Marx are often confused with those that are Plasticville. The Marx poles are larger with an overall height of seven inches and the Plasticville poles are one inch shorter. Marx poles had insulators, Plasticville did not. Marx poles had slots in thier bases for mounting, Plasticville had tiny holes.
This auction include 12 "MARX MARKED" poles and 3 "PLASTICVILLE" poles.
Condition: All 15 poles are in excellent condition.
Now..if YOU have any other information or data on this piece and would like to share it, I'd be more than willing to pass it on to any possible NEW OWNER. Please feel free to contact me.

RETURNS / REFUND POLICY
No returns allowed unless item is not as described. I will accept returns with a valid reason. (This doesn't include change of mind!) Item must be returned in original condition (within 7 days of receipt), un-damaged. Buyer to pay return postage. (Recorded Advisable) Refund will not include postage paid to deliver the item. Refund will be made once item is received back.
Mechanical device disclaimer: Every mechanical device has a certain life span. The day it leaves the factory, it becomes one day closer to it's end date. When I find these devices, I plug them in, wind them up or put in a battery. If they buzz, whirr or seem like they're doing what they are supposed to be doing, I keep them for auction. At that point in time, I have NO IDEA of how old or how much use they have incurred. They may last a lifetime, or fail the next time they are turned on. Therefore, I sell these as "Decorative or Ornamental purposes" only, not functional. Which may be referred to as "AS IS".
