Modernise your Hi-Fi system
The Maximum MR-2000 simply plugs into a standard audio input (or Coaxial digital if you have one) on your hi-fi system, then:
- Tune into DAB+ radio broadcasts—the new radio broadcast standard introduced into Australia - DAB+ radio promises crystal clear reception and CD quality music. You can search for stations by name not frequency. There is room on digital radio for double the number of stations (many new stations have already started broadcasting on DAB+ only) and on the MR-2000's screen you can view information broadcast by radio stations such as the song title and artist, program information, news, sport, weather & advertisers details. The MR-2000 has a nice big screen with 3 lines of text (plus another for the station name) so you can read information such as the song title and artist without having to wait for the screen to scroll many times.
- Connect to over 12,000 Internet radio stations & 6,000 podcasts around the world through its built in Internet Radio without the use of a PC (requires an active broadband/cable internet connection). Stations are from over 179 countries in over 70 languages - so no matter what sort of music you like to listen to or what language your speak, you are bound to find a station you will love.
- Unlock the music stored on your PC - access the music stored on your home network through an Ethernet cable or wirelessly (router needs to be relatively close, same or next room for best wireless connection).
- Play your favorite MP3 music stored on a USB stick or UPnP hard drive.
The MR-2000 does not have an amplifier or speakers. It is designed to upgrade your current system. It just needs an available audio input (using standard RCA inputs or coaxial digital inputs) you can even upgrade old amplifiers and receivers that are 30 years old! It is in an attractive brushed aluminium finish that looks great and it comes complete with a remote control, wall mounting bracket and stand.
This means you do not have to replace your loved system to get the latest digital methods of obtaining music, just plug this tuner in to your amplifier and connect to your router (if you want to listen to Internet radio or stream music from your PC) - its all in this one very attractive device.
The MR-2000 also has an FM tuner.
For more information (and pictures of what you see on the screen when in use) visit the MSML website. You will see that the screen on the MR-2000 is bigger than some of the other digital radios on the market, meaning it is easier to read the information sent by the radio stations and you don't have to wait for the information to scroll to read a song name for example (although when lots of information is sent, it will scroll).
If you would like a demonstration and are in Sydney we are now located in Lilyfield (between Balmain & Leichhardt). Ph 9810 0804 to make a time.
To find whether you are in a DAB+ broadcast area visit www.digitalradioplus.com.au (Commercial Radio Australia's website for DAB+ radio).
The MR-2000 is covered by a 2 year warranty.
The MR-2000 can be connected to your sound system via standard RCA connections or a digital coaxial output (44.1 KHz).
The MR-2000 has a wire aerial which is sufficient in most people's circumstances. This aerial can be connected to an external aerial via an RF connector (not included but available for no charge if you think you need one).
