BRAND NEW! Meade 70mm F8.5 or 600MM focal length achromatic refractor tube assembly. This has a 1.25" focuser and 1.25" mirror star diagonal included. This is an achromatic high quality Meade coated objective lens so it gives sharp almost false color free images up to 150X. This makes a fantastic giant finder. With a 32mm eyepiece you get 18x or with a 40mm you get 15x. perfect for a giant finder, but you also get the power of a great guidescope. it can handle easily 60x per inch as do fine telescopes. It is clear to 150x so it is very capable as a guidescope too! This is a brand new tube but we have taken off some hardware that Meade put on it so there are a few small holes in the tube where the mounting hardware used to be. This in no way affects the performance of the tube. The tube is thin wall aluminum so when mounting it in guidescope or finder brackets with set screws be gentle not to dent the tube. This tube is lightweight, under 2 lbs so you won't weigh down your scope and at 600mm it is not too long for most scopes either. It is about 2' long. The best thing is the price! Buy it right now for only $22.95 and a very reasonable shipping.! You might pay that for a 6x30 finder!
