Old bag tag with original string from the late 1930's to early 1940's - Menzies' Hotel Melbourne. Slight bend top left.

One of the grand hotels of Melbourne, people talk about the Windsor that still exists but the Menzies' was the best, so good that this is where General Douglas McArthur based himself when Melbourne was his headquarters during WW2. Sadly now demolished for a very ugly 1970's building in Bourke Street.
