This auction is for a fine and vintage solid silverplated cold meat serving fork by Meriden Silver Co. / International in their early and extremely rare CARDINAL pattern of 1887. Server measures 8 5/8" long and is marked with manufacturer's trademark & pat. 1887. Found in very good condition. Sports the period monogram of the letter B in a gothyc style. No areas of unsightly damage, plate loss or repairs. Just light surface scratches & tarnish commensurate with age and gentle use. Please note similar items retail for $40.00+ when found in other venues, thank you. Offered for a low opening bid and no reserve. Thank you.
