Please read below for information relating to genuine Microsoft suits & their License terms   Legal installs does not relate to multiple licenses. For installs on mutiple and separate user computers a volume license should be purchased from Microsoft.   There is a misconception in regards to Microsoft licensing which is often misunderstood.  Microsoft does NOT and never has provided (with any MSO Office  retail software) more than 1 user license per copy of their software nor states anywhere in their license agreement that more than 2 installs are available.  Microsoft Terms related to retail suits enables an  install on one desktop PC and another install using the same license key on a portable device (laptops) etc.  both must be owned and administrated by same user.  Even though the license does not state that 3 installs are available in most cases  same user ( administrator)  can install onto a 3rd computer.  It does NOT allow (and is in fact illegal)  installs using the same license key for 3 different  users on 3 separate computers.  This means you cannot share, give  or sell your license to anyone else to use.    All that means that you can install Office 2007 on at least two computers (one of them portable) provided both computers are used (administered) by the one person.   Although the license terms allow for 2 installs it is sometimes possible for the same user to do a third install if the computer is owned and administrated by them.   In addition, Microsoft talks about a ‘single user’ however Windows allows multiple logins/users to a computer.
