Make Your Own Custom Microtech Knife

The knife craftsman now has the unusual opportunity to construct his own custom Microtech Currahee. Tactical Edge Solutions has acquired a stock of Microtech blade blanks and handles and offers them to knifemakers. These are genuine Microtech parts made in the USA, and we absolutely guarantee their authenticity. They are not damaged or factory seconds.

The Microtech Currahee blade blank is made of D-2 tool steel which has not been hardened. These were tested in an engineering lab and are approximately 13 on the Rockwell C scale. That is good news, since D2 tool steel is very hard to grind once it has been hardened. The blade features a tanto shape. It is unground and uniformly 0.25" thick. It is 10" long with a blade length of 4.5", and a handle thickness (when attached) of 0.75". (All measurements are approximate.)
The handles are dark green canvas micarta and are cut and beveled to the correct shape. Hardware to attach the handles is not included.
