Military and Naval Recognition Book: A Handbook on The Organization, Insignia Of Rank, And Customs Of The Service OF The World's Important Armies And Navies, written in 1918 by Lieut. Comm., Bunkley, 280 pages. "The great expansion in the existing corps of our Army and the organization of new services have necessitated many changes in insignia and the adopting of new insignia. The present edition has been revised and enlarged to include the changes."
2. A History Of The Art Of War: The Middle Ages From Fourth To The Fourteenth Century by Charles Oman written in 1898 and is over 700 pages in length. "These volumes are concerned with the history of the art of war, and do not purport to give the complete military annals of the civilised world. Each section deals with the characteristic tactics, strategy, and military organisation of a period, and illustrates them by detailed accounts of typical campaigns and battles. Articles of enlisted men's clothing made at the naval clothing factory under the provisions of the regulations for uniforms published July 1, 1897, shall continue to be issued and worn until the stock on hand is exhausted; but clothing made by the men themselves, or by tailors for them, must conform strictly to these regulations."
