package or cubic size (physical dimensions), whichever comes in
"heavier" for the Air Transport company including the Post Office.
This piece is large and medium weight, so while it weighs only 8
kilos when boxed up and ready to ship, the cubic weight, calculated by
multiplying the length, by the width by the height of the box and then
dividing that number by 6000, comes to a hefty 23 Kilos. (roughly 50
lbs)
There is no way around this fact.... Ive tried.
The only time where cubic weight does not matter, is by Sea Mail
Worldwide and by EMS Express Courier to Australia. These services are
exempt from Cubic Weight calculations, so these are the standard
shipping methods I use as the piece will ship at 8 kilos instead of 50.
The standard shipping quoted is therefore by Sea Mail at 8 kilos.
Sea Mail takes 8 weeks to Europe and Australia and 12 weeks to the
USA. The cost is USD$39.50 Worldwide.
Express Shipping is offered to Australia upon request as Cubic does not apply to that country (just a Post Office loophole) it only takes 6 Days
Standard Shipping Worldwide is Sea Mail from Bali is Approx 8 to 12 Weeks
