NEW SEASON MOHAIR
Beginning in early November I am beginning to list new season fleeces. They were specially selected for me from a shearing of around one thousand goats. There are wonderful fleeces from kid, young and adult goats and some taken from Show goats, with a variety of lengths and featuring for those of you who desire them, extra long fleeces around 25 cms or 10 inches. All the fleeces exhibit the characteristics that the breeder is favouring, namely even fleeces with easy to separate staples and beautifully aligned fibres to make your job easier, and with the lustre and softness that modern mohair is renowned for. 

THIS LISTING
I just love this kind of fleece when I have them. This is a top quality fleece in so many ways. It is from the 3rd shearing of an 18 month old show doe. The staples average 15-17cms (6-7 inches) and they separate individually very easily. Even as an unwashed fleece it presents beautifully and is a pleasure to handle.  One of the reasons it presents so beautifully is that preparation of the fleece on show goats begins just a month after its previous shearing. The goat may have been dipped and swam up to 6 times in a process that washes any dead fibres out of the fleece as well as any dust and vegetable matter, as well as resetting the staples so that it presents wonderfully at show time. Now at the end of the day it is just another beautiful example of a young goat fleece like the others I sell but its preparation before you receive it will certainly make your job easier :)

Here is what I would like you to know about this listing. 
- The staples average around 15-17 cms (6-7 inches) but there will be some variation due to the shearing process.
- There are 220 grams of unwashed fleece in this auction. 
- There is very little vegetable matter or dust in the fleece as I hope you can see from the photos.
- The photos are from the actual unwashed mohair for sale. Please note that where I am selling more than one lot of the same fleece I may use the same photos.
- There are photos that show a washed sample of this fleece.
- This fleece is identified with the following reference number YG11SpSh.

Shipping/postage overseas will be by AIRMAIL and will not be more than the actual Australia Post charges. Australia Post cost their postage in weight ranges - up to 250grams, up to 500grams, up to 750grams and so on so I try to list my mohair in weight ranges that will make the best use of the posatge charges.
