22 Ct GOLD ENCRUSTED

PEACH GLASS PITCHER

CIRCA 1890 - 1910

This Peach Glass pitcher by Moser dates from around the turn of the century, or possibly earlier.  It is unmarked but is typical of items produced by Moser around the turn of the century in the Art Nouveau period.  The gold used on this piece has the appearance of 24 Carat but it is ineed at least 22 Carat.

Peach is one one of the rarest colours you will find and this gorgeous example is in MINT condition.  It has a typical Art Nouveau motif with trailing Passionfruit vines in a 3D layered effect as pictured.  The base is encircled with Gold banding in addtion to the lip being lined with Gold.  The hand has been individually blown then exquisitely attached to the body whilst still maleable giving this piece an overall beauty that is quite extraordinary.

This magnificent piece measures 28 cms high x 12 cms at its widest point
