After MANY years of using almost every damper on the planet we know exactly what we wanted and went after it. After many different designs and thousands of kilometres of testing we got exactly what we wanted.

Our damper functions differently than other available dampers. We worked on things like rider feel, making it unobtrusive to the rider yet still able to resist deflection and allow you to chose and hold the line you want.

Greatly reduces error correction in slick muddy woods riding.

Works fantastic for dualsport bikes making them feel much more settled and streetbike like on the road.

Works great for MX allowing you to hold lines better, attack sandy and loose whoop sections with much more speed and confidence, and removes the wiggle when landing from jumps.

Super high tolerance machining, if you don't build quality it makes no difference how good your design is. We are able to control all aspects and quality of this unit and this is key to a solid and long lasting / supportable product.

Simplistic design and long lasting construction. Eliminating unneeded failure points and features and designing these in else ware was instrumental in the long term support of the product. Our damper has three external seals (potential failure points). The other two top competitors have 67!!

We also use the more expensive high end double seal seals made from the highest quality materials specifically for this application. This means less points for seal leak and operation over a much wider range of temperatures.

Position Sensitive Damping

What this means is as you turn away from center it gets progressively less in damping force. Most damping is needed in the center where you are when you are going fast. When you slow to turn around a tree or tight corner you want less damping as at those speeds as it is not necessary. Most dampers use an adjustable sweep control that allows you to set this. What we do not like about this design is at a point the damping blows off abruptly and then when returning you hit a wall of damping. Ours is linear and a smooth fluid transition from full stiff in the middle to full off at the end of the sweep. In the end this results in smooth natural turn in and return to center making the transition and bike balance much more controlled.

Non Free to Center

There are two philosophies to steering dampers. Free to center and not free to center. Some dampers only damp while going away from center, coming back they have little or no damping. Some dampers have the same amount of damping in both directions. There are pluses and minuses to both designs but we feel the damping in both directions design, if implemented right is the best, here is why.

If you are in and corner and you hit something on the inside like a root or rock there is no damping force helping to keep you on track and your bars are free to whip back towards center. Also if you are in a rock garden and deflections are occurring from both sides, especially turning in a corner in a rock garden you are again left with no deflection protection from the outside to the center. Additionally when charging through a fast sandy whoop section and you start to swap a free to center designed damper is only going to control half that oscillation. A non free to center damper is in our opinion much better at high speed oscillation damping.

Velocity Sensitive Damping

The quicker the wheel tries to deflect the more damping forces are generated. We have designed our internal valving to allow a free natural feel at the bars under normal circumstances but still allow significant damping when needed. There is not rocket science to this just a lot of testing and changing until this balance is mastered. The internal oil pathways, the valve, the displacement device and the high tolerances all add up to what we feel it the ultimate balance of damping force and rider feel.

Rider Feel

This to us is VERY important. As mentioned above many design features and criteria were set as milestones and ride feel and natural transitions were at the top of the list. While all dampers impart a heavier feel at the bars we feel ours has the most natural feel to it allowing smooth riding technique and overall confidence inspiring riding experience.

Slim Design

To build a damper this small and slim took outside the box thinking and high tolerances. Our damper provides all the damping force required but still maintains a super slim profile. This means it is not sticking up where you can smack yourself on it. We also located out adjustment on the front so you have no knobs to tear off or hit in the event of a crash.

Range of Adjustment. Our damper is highly adjustable from almost nothing to a LOT of damping force. Most our testers end up setting it in the middle and leaving it there. This imparts very little feel at the bars but takes care of all the issues you bought a stabilizer to take care of in the first place.
