Sue Wilson trained at the prestigeous National Art School in Sydney during the 1960's. She spent most of her adult life in the bush of Far North Queensland, teaching, exhibiting and receiving awards. She uses "impressionistic" layers of transparent watercolour to bleed together while wet,in order to create the unique light and glow of Australian bush scenes. She is not a prolofic artist so her work is not always readily available;this partilular study high-lighting the unique play of Mediterranean light and shade. It is a glorious original -- not a print! |
