SYDNEY, Aust., February 9, 2007 D-Link, the end-to-end networking solutions provider for business and consumers, is now shipping its most powerful wireless networking router yet in Australia and New Zealand using the latest Draft 802.11n wireless technology.

The D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router (DIR-655) which has earned the right to display Microsoft's Works with Windows Vista logo is a draft 802.11n compliant device that delivers up to 14x faster speeds* and 6x farther range* than 802.11g while staying backward compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b devices. The Xtreme N family including the Xtreme N desktop and notebook adapters (DWA-547 and DWA-645, respectively) is ideal for the office and homes with high-speed Internet using multiple PCs, game consoles and other digital devices such as streaming media adapters.

The new D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router displays the Works with Windows Vista logo after exhaustive testing in the Microsoft labs, where it met the performance, ease-of-use, and security standards for the Windows Vista operating system. This allows D-Link to assure potential buyers that the DIR-655 complies with the features of Windows Vista.
